Carmen Carrión is a clinical psychology doctoral candidate at Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. She specializes in neuropsychology and has trained in diverse academic and Veteran’s Affairs medical centers. She is passionate about diversity and multicultural issues and has extensive experience working with older adults, clients with wide-ranging disabilities, ethnic minority groups, and individuals with varying cognitive profiles. Recent empirical contributions include analysis of quality versus quantity of education’s effect on cognitive test performance in African American and Caucasian older adults as well as comparison of cognitive and behavioral measures of executive functioning in an older Spanish-speaking Hispanic sample. At present, she is laying the groundwork for a prolific clinical and research career addressing the needs of underserved populations.
