Brandon Anioł is Program Specialist and Educator for the Texas Historical Commission in Castroville, TX. Anioł was awarded the John H. Jenkins Research Fellowship in Texas History by the Texas State Historical Association in 2014. Before joining the Texas Historical Commission in 2015, Anioł worked for the Institute of Texan Cultures, the Witte Museum, Humanities Texas, and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Anioł specializes in history of the United States during the long-nineteenth century, particularly the relationship between food and culture. His current work is on German and Alsatian immigrants in Texas during the Civil War.
