Anne Bergner currently holds the position of a professor for design basics, theory of design and design communications at the faculty of design, University of applied sciences in Coburg, Germany. She has received her diploma of industrial design from the State Academy of Art and Design Stuttgart, Germany.
Anne Bergner was holding the position of visiting professor at the Bauhaus-Universitaet Weimar (2005) and several teaching positions, amongst others visiting lecturer at the IIT, Guwahati, India (2004). As designer she worked for companies like Siemens, Gaggenau and BMW in various fields of transdisciplinary design including design strategy, branding and design management. Anne Bergner’s work and research has been published in several German journals including Form, DesignReport and Gateway.
She is also a member of a research group on the “fuzzy front end” of innovation at the University of applied sciences, Munich, Germany.
Her major research interest is concentrated on Interdisciplinary work and communication, Design mediation and the use of language in design processes.
