A specialist in mass media and new technologies, his research interests include broadcasting policy, political and cultural appropriations of media, and the influences of new technologies on society. He has carried out numerous quantitative investigations on the diffusion and adoption by families of interactive technologies available in Canada, the U.S. and in the United Kingdom. Some of his more recent work has been published in the academic journal Convergence and discusses data gathered on the appropriation of “Mobile Culture” in society. He his co-author of two books recently published on this specific topic one by Les Presses de l’Université de Montréal, titled “Culture mobile :les nouvelles pratiques de communication” (2005) and one published by McGill/Queens University Press titled “Moving Cultures” (2007).
