Mohamed C. Amor joined the faculty at Texas Tech University in 2000. He earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Design with a specialization in environment and behavior from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Early graduate work (M.Phil degree in architecture, 1987) was completed at the School of Architecture, New Castle Upon-Tyne England. Undergraduate work was completed at the School of Architecture Constantine, Algeria. His research endeavor and publications focus on home environments with special emphasis on social, psychological, cultural and economic contexts. Concomitantly, as a computer literate, with an inclination toward behavioral sciences, another current research interest involves the impact of computer technology on pedagogy. He has been active with schools of architecture and interior design since 1987. During the last three years, he has been the recipient of five research and teaching awards.
