My interests and background are in both individual and cultural identity development, including a M.S. in psychosocial development and a Ph.D. in Human Development and Inquiry Methodology with an emphasis on India Studies. Following my M.S. program, I invested five years first as primary and later as senior therapist in a long-term secured residential facility specializing in the treatment of chronic psychiatric and behavioral issues of children and adolescents. I accepted and remained in the position for the sole purpose of furthering my understanding of key psychosocial principles. Later, during my doctoral program, I was awarded a Critical Language Scholarship from the U.S. State Department to study Urdu in Lucknow, India. While in Lucknow, I was provided with open access to schools and universities in India by ranking members of the National Executive Committee of the ruling BJP Party in order to conduct research looking at changes in the development of intimate and attachment relationships related to economic development. I am currently in the process of forming a not-for-profit agency which will include the gathering and analysis of saliva samples in order to observe the potentially changing role played by the hormonal oxytocin and vasopressin systems.
