Alice Brown is an experienced lecturer and researcher of teacher, health and early childhood education at the University of Southern Queensland. Alice has been recognised for her exemplary teaching and learning practices: nominated for Australian lecturer of the Year 2009, winner of a Faculty of Education Award for Teaching Excellence (Early Career) Award, recipient with a team of researchers of several Learning and Teaching grants. She has co-authored of a book chapter, published a number of journal articles and presented at national and international conferences on related issues pertaining to best practice learning and teaching in higher education. She is currently engaged with a team of researchers on a pilot study and the development of an innovative learning and teaching tool title SALT (Self- Assessment Learning and Teaching Tool).
