  Abdulwasey Mohammed recieved his BE Civil Engineering degree from Osmania University in India in 1996. He started working in an Indo-Japanese conglomerate before moving to Germany where he worked for one year in Nikon Europe GmbH. In 2000 he went to Stuttgart University to successfully complete MSc in Computational Mechanics of Materials and Structures and in 2004 he completed his second masters in Sustainable Resource Management from Technische Universität München in Germany. Since then he worked as a research scientist in Ludwig Maximilian’s University in Munich until July 2005 and in September same year he joined Edinburgh University in Scotland for PhD. Mr. Mohammed is currently in his final year PhD research. His interest is mainly in the applications of cutting edge remote sensing technologies from air and satellites mounted platforms to understand and solve the problems due to climate change on the natural resources. His future research interest is in solving up scaling problems in the areas of environment, ecology and climate change. His multidisciplinary background and multilingual skills made him adapt to the change easily. He is able to communicate in five different languages. Less
