Abstract
Online networks create a real digital universe and produce an aesthetic-cultural image in Rio de Janeiro, occupied, since 2017, by the federal military forces of the Law and Order Guarantee (GLO). The urban participatory space - defined by the action of a new middle class articulated by networks and by the joint knowledge of academics, artists, hackers, and activists - establishes a language of citizenship created by the multifaceted world of common goods in the political participatory street movements. This paper explores the establishment of a productive chain of products and events that indicate a new creative economy of the “carioca” (natural or inhabitant of Rio de Janeiro) culture in the Continuous Occupied City.
