Abstract
This paper discusses the neglect by the local community, in Delta, Egypt of their Culture Heritage. It explores how we impress new intellectual ways to attract community attention to care and save their heritage. Specifically, the study examines the results of three small projects conducted in cooperation with the help of local community, and their effects on it. These three projects include: “Write your Name as a Pharaoh”, “Our Theater” and “Design your Museum”. This paper reviews the importance of raising the awareness of local community especially with newer generations that live around the ancient capital of Egypt “Mendes” in the Northeast Egyptian Delta. It aims to demonstrate how local community awareness and involvement affects heritage representation. This can lead to further collaborations within the community and important voices addressing heritage that both teaches and promotes contemporary values and long term preservation.
