Inclusive Activities in the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan: Celebrations, Museum Studies, and Excursions for Everyone

Abstract

The National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan has been organizing activities for disabled people for more than ten years. We develop special programs for blind and partially sighted people, such as interactive excursions, practical lessons, and educational games. We also understand the importance of inclusiveness and everyone is able to participate equitably in celebrations such as New Year Fairytales, Sabantuy, Museum Nights, and many others. People with visual and hearing impairments and with cerebral palsy work in our museum and we together make our cultural heritage available for all.
