The Art Automation: Artificial Intelligence and Art

Abstract

In the last decades, artificial Intelligence has advanced considerably in the visual field. The task of reading and classifying images has already been achieved by machine learning systems. However, the challenge of generating high-quality images is still in progress. This paper studies the evolution of art machines and generative adversarial network, their influence on contemporary art, as well as the relationship among human beings and generative networks in the process of creating images. The base of the investigation is the experimental artwork produced by the Spanish painter Juanma Moreno Sánchez.
