Bastion: Museums - the Highest Repository of Values

Abstract

The photography book “Bastion”, is a work in progress that examines the museum space in relation to the security guards that work there. In the United States, most security guards are Black or other People of Color. The photographs take a documentary/ethnographic approach bringing to light a situation that at first look feels normal, but through subsequent viewing hopefully raises more questions.
