Active Musical Program Applied to a Case Study

Abstract

The PMA was designed based on one’s own experience and the implementation of active music in a group of older people. This program consists of active musical practice, implementing activities that develop capacities linked to the following competencies: vocal, body expression, auditory, interpretive, creative and emotional. The objective of this program is to improve people’s quality of life, also improving health, especially in people with some type of cognitive impairment (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, mental health). The first results are based on the evidence detected. Although work is currently being done on blood and saliva tests. Markers that will be analyzed by the MUSAS team. On the other hand, the response of the participants regarding musical activities and their quality of life is being assessed through a questionnaire. Positive evidence can be seen in two cases of depression. The relevance of the project in terms of social impact, health and employability in the musical and artistic field, allows the approach of a European project to try to respond to current demands on health, quality of life, and active aging. and healthy. This project can be extended not only to the areas of health, but also to education. In parallel, the possibilities of the PMA are being explored, with other markers and different questionnaires to be implemented in educational centers, from early childhood education to university.
