Abstract

At a very young age, children are distracted with so many things, from technology, phones, and social media. Then they have the distraction from friends, peer pressure and the need to be accepted. These are more than normal loads for students to manage, not to add the pressure to do well in school, and its effect on their long-term goal/success. This is more than normal for a young mind to manage. With all these opposing tasks on the young mind, importantly most youth and adults lack the essential nutrition to strengthen the mind for the sound development of the brain which is necessary for memorization, complex thinking, and long-term retention. These abilities are not only needed for school but for everyday life, so simple steps to have a healthier mind for success will be addressed. Techniques on training the mind and basic foundation for a sharper mind will be presented. The lack of a healthy mind impacts one’s health and significant long-term consequences. There is a correlation between good mental health and growing dementia in the States and worldwide. One out of six women and one out of ten men, living past the age of 55 will develop dementia. Over 7 million new cases diagnosed yearly, and 47.5million people living with dementia worldwide. The rate of this syndrome addressing the health of the mind is rising significantly, an estimated 75.6 million cases by 2030 and terrifying 135.5million by 2050 (WHO&Harvard Health). The solution is in our lifestyle which impacts everything.
