Abstract
Understanding that tobacco has multiple drawbacks and causes para mounting deaths as a key contributor to lung cancer, prevention is not just possible but also plausible. In pursuit of discoveries by the sciences, countries like the United Kingdom have stepped forward in the fight against tobacco. However, the United States is yet to take a bold step like such. The most important conundrum remains to decipher what could be done to prevent lung cancer in the United States. I argue that the United States should raise the age of smoking to a mid-age in all states and gradually follow the footsteps of the United Kingdom to ban smoking in all public spaces.
