Abstract
In the past, isolated and rural communities faced challenges in relation to access to gaining access to basic resources and community supports. Presently, challenges remain for these communities and these challenges are related to the effective use of community resources. While these community resources are organized to provide access to the highest amount of individuals, the members of populations who most require these resources and frequently, might not receive the support that that they require. How can rural and isolated communities produce self-efficacy though greater community engagement and infrastructure planning? How can these communities increase self-efficacy through community engagement? These complex negotiations are essential to the health impact of long-term community health planning.
