Research Trends of Community Care Design for Sustainable Society: A Green Social Work Perspective

Abstract

This study examines the research trend of community care design in Korea from the perspective of green social work. We are facing a major turning point in technological development, and at the same time, we are facing global, social, and economic crises such as disasters, ecological crises, climate crises, resource depletion, social conflicts, and aging. Green social work was the first word used by Lena Dominelli (professor of Durham University) in 2012. It is the concept of expanding social welfare to maintain the quality of human life and create a sustainable society in many disasters and various crisis situations facing society. This study introduces community care design in Korea as a design that helps people live together in the community to meet care and realize their self. And based on this, the research subjects are extracted based on the concept of green social work, and meta-analysis and keyword analysis are conducted. This is meaningful in discovering the meaning of community care design for a sustainable society and specifying the application of design for a sustainable society in the relationship between the “human-environment” of modern society.
