Gender Studies in Latin America: A Multidisciplinary Perspective to Interrogate the Academy

Abstract

This is a study of gender in the Ecuadorian university and the impact on concepts such as decolonity in the academic syllabus, to make reflections from academic practice and psychoanalytic practice on the three great subjective impasses to think about and process gender studies in the city of Guayaquil. Emphasis is on: 1) Education as a repressive ideological apparatus; 2) Otherness as a rejection of the other in their difference; 3) The invention as an aberrant movement for the transmission of know-how.
