Abstract
This research enriches the conceptual and methodological approach to the construction of post-mining landscapes, taking as a case study an open pit mine located in an unplanned and densely populated urban environment in the peripheral area of Bogotá, capital of Colombia. The interpretation of the links found between the conceptual fields of landscape and habitat leads to the notion of Inhabited Landscape, on which relies the methodological approach for the (re)construction of post-mining landscapes proposed here. This construction is understood as a project of collective and extended collaboration, in which the creation of scenarios of participation and collective construction of knowledge are fundamental pieces in the constitution of certain territorial pacts that have the potential to guide the future and the transformations of areas where the mining activity has been or will be suspended.
