Architecture, Environment, and Religious Life

Abstract

Architecture is responsible for human life’s environment. The Container and Content is a nice metaphor used to convey this meaning. Architecture provides the environment in a way that a religious man can live his religion too and to be the “Human” in the “World” that is imagined in it that religion. Like any religion, Islamic life is based on beliefs and teachings of Islam. So a responsible architect feels obliged to better know the Islamic Life and Environmental Policies to be more able to furnish the “Container” (environment) in the best supportive way of the “Content” (Islamic lifestyle).
