Description

Phil Hubbard is Senior Lecturer Emeritus at the Stanford University Language Center, where he served as Director of English for Foreign Students 2003-2020. Working the past four decades in the field of computer-assisted language learning (CALL), he has published in the areas of CALL evaluation, development, theory, research methodology, 
listening, teacher education, and learner training. He served on the team that developed the TESOL Technology Standards (2008, 2011) and is Associate Editor of the journals Computer Assisted Language Learning and Language Learning & Technology. Currently, he is collaborating with groups in the Canadian settlement language sector creating targeted technology standards for teachers, learners, and programs and developing a platform to support independent language learning.
