Systemic Sustainability in Building Construction: Urban Metabolisms and Cultural Variables

Abstract

The evaluation of sustainability in housing construction and urban centers usually focuses on an analytical exercise, which considers economic and environmental issues as central aspects. The study seeks to socialize the results of previous research on sustainability assessment from a systemic perspective, where the theoretical underpinning is expanded and new ways of understanding options for the construction of sustainable cities and buildings is presented.
