Territorial Tourism Management Model in Cerro Blanco Protective Forest: Management Model

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to study the current tourism planning of the Cerro Blanco Protective Forest (BPCB), located in the province of Guayas - Ecuador 2021, considering important aspects within territorial planning, based on a study of the extrinsic and intrinsic characteristics of the BPCB, through the survey of the inventory of tourist attractions and generation of tourist spaces according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador. A study of the carrying capacity of the tourist trails of the Forest is carried out, to finally expose a Model of territorial tourism management according to the current characteristics of the forest, always taking into account the predominant environmental aspects in the area under study. Also a census is carried out with all the personnel working in the Forest, segmented into two application groups: the first was for administrative personnel and technicians in tourism, biodiversity and forestry, and the second group was for park rangers and environmental interpreters (tourist guides) to obtain first-hand information based on the real aspects of the sector.
