Abstract
Understanding the political dimensions of soccer is crucial in contemporary society, where soccer holds immense cultural significance and serves as a global phenomenon with far-reaching effects. This research investigates the intricate relationship between soccer and politics, focusing on how worldwide events and soccer activities intersect with political processes, ideologies, and power dynamics. The research question is, “How does soccer serve as a political expression and power projection platform, and what are its implications?” The findings of this research point out the implications for policymakers and soccer administrators. Also, it clarifies how the scholars and the public contribute to discussions on the role of sport in society, such as nationalism, diplomacy, and governance. By highlighting the political complexities of soccer, this study seeks to foster critical reflection and dialogue on the intersection of sports and politics.
