Friendship Activity Observational Test and Adjective Observational Testfor Intellectual Disability in Unified Sports

Abstract

Content validity is essential in a psychometric instrument for its development. This research aims at developing and validating the instrument of Friendship Activity Observational Test (FAOT) and the Adjective Observational Test (AOT). The instrument draft that has been compiled was tested to check the components, namely, content, construct, and rationalism using the Delphi technique. The instruments were rated by nine experts based on their own expertise. Experts’ assessment results were used to make some improvements. The quantitative data analysis used Content Validity Ratio (CVR) using the formula proposed by Lawshe, the provision of minimum value of CVR 0.78 of its items for the nine experts. The validity value is obtained through CVR analysis based on the minimum standard of nine validators. Based on the results of CVR process, it is obtained that the average validity value of the instrument in each item is 0.945 for FAOT and 0.941 for AOT. The results of the validity test by assessing the validity of content to the instrument of FAOT and AOT for disabled children in Unified Sports show that they are valid. Therefore, the instrument is appropriate to be used as a psychosocial tool assessment for disabled children in Unified Sports.
