Effects of Demographics on Job Satisfaction of Physical Education Teachers

Abstract

The survey study was primarily conducted in the vicinity of District Dera Ismail Khan to know about the effect of Demographics on Job Satisfaction of Physical education teachers in secondary schools. The aim of study was to find out the effect of Demographics on Job Satisfaction of physical education teachers. The study brings the topic of job satisfaction into limelight, especially in academic institution, where diligence and contentment of the teacher is a dire need for the teaching-learning practice as according to the Islamic education “Almighty Allah (God) likes hard worker” (Holly Quran). In this regard targeted population was Physical education teachers in the secondary schools of District D.I.Khan. Structured Questionnaire was used as a tool for the collection of data from the targeted population. The researcher has developed Likert Scales for collection opinions of physical education teachers and general teachers according to the Research Variable with the consultation of Research supervisor and related literature. There was five options for each question (Strongly agree, Agree, uncertain, Disagree, Strongly Disagree) indicated by 1-5 numbers. A sample of the entire 49 PET was taken by using simple random sampling technique. The data was than analyzed by using SPSS (version 21); regression (m) and correlation. It was concluded that there was significant effects of Demographics on the population.
