Sport Organizational Management Practices and Coaching Leadership Style of Primer League Football Clubs in Ethiopian: -

Abstract

The major purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sports organizational management practice, perceived and preferred coaching leadership style of Premier league football clubs in Ethiopia. To this end, descriptive survey method was employed. The data collected by Questionnaires. The target population of this study was all 14 Ethiopian primer league football club players and coaching staff. The researcher selected only 4(28.57%) top two and bottom two clubs. by using purposive sampling techniques. The total number of participants in this study was 116 players and coaching staff. After data were collected analysed by SPSS Software (Version 20). Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data by using mean, standard deviation, ANOVA. The level of significance is set at 0.05. The researcher hypothesis of this study was: there is no significant difference in sports organizational management practices, Perceive and Prefer coaching leadership behaviour of players’ indices premier league football clubs in Ethiopia. There is no significant difference in sports organizational management practices, Perceive and Prefer coaching leadership behaviour of players their age, Educational level and Experience indices premier league football clubs in Ethiopia. Finally, the study findings were indicated that (a) there is a significant difference between clubs and sports organizational management practice and perceived coaching leadership style and there is no significant difference between clubs and preferred coaching leadership style (b) There is no significant difference between player age, Educational level and Experience in sports organizational management practice, Perceived and Preferred coaching leadership behaviour.
