The Role of Access, Social Attributes, and Government on the Digital Divide: Evidence in Digitalization Education Process in Indonesia

Abstract

Technology has become the most important part of human life, apart from that the application of technology in fact still has many problems, one of which is the application of technology in educational and learning media. In response to this, Indonesia has had a new policy, namely the massively implemented digitalization of education. However, several obstacles related to the digital divide are still the main focus of developing learning media in the practice of digitizing education. This article considers the digital divide which focuses on access issues, social attributes, and government issues with a quantitative approach and R project to provide interpretations. which is clearly related to the relationship between the digital divide indicator and the process of digitizing education in Indonesia. This paper provides a picture of digitalised education processes in countries with the similar characteristics.
