"Platform Feminism: A Theory of Mediated Elevation"

Rianka Singh is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Information and a researcher at the McLuhan Center for Culture and Technology. Her research focuses on the intersection of feminist media studies, platform studies and feminist geography. Rianka is the co-editor with Dr. Sarah Sharma of the forthcoming book MsUnderstanding Media: A Feminist Medium is the Message (Duke University Press). Rianka’s research has been published in First Monday, Feminist Media Studies and ADA: A Journal of Gender, New Media and Technology.
