Abstract

Virtual networks constitute a vast and complex world that brings together different individuals with varied tendencies and beliefs. It is not exaggerated to assert that today’s life is linked to online social networks. However, surveys show that not all societies are equally likely to be present in this new world that directly affects the level of community democracy and the level of education. The public is in contact. Since online social networks are based on the interests of individuals and groups, and especially on the basis of “public participation” in community affairs, the condition for their success and impact is to understand the meaning of public participation of people in different parts of society. “Public participation” should be the next important stake of the dimensions of the realization of “democracy”, that these days can also form in the context of cyberspace. No doubt, the fundamental purpose of democracy is to extend and protect the rights of the citizen and to provide the social and political context in which all the citizens of a community are involved in the determination of their own destiny and their country and play an important role. In this framework, everyone has the right to put forward ideas through voluntary participation in various fields and even to impose their will on the “government” which holds the central political power and so they share the same cycle of “political power”. This is where “democracy” and the space of “online social networks” come together.
