Abstract
MOOCs are posited as the new stimulants in higher education scenario of developing and developed countries alike. Aiming to achieve massification of higher education, they are also being projected as quality infusing intervention especially in developing countries like India. The MOOCs have already been integrated with traditional education in India and there are certain challenges and hindrances in this integration. This paper examines these issues and also attempts to envision the future of MOOCs in the country.
