The in-person participants are invited to participate in a Case Study Day to learn about local production and discuss the topics of the conference.

On the second day of the conference, we will visit the Distillery "La Mexicana" Casa Orendain. Tequila Orendain has its own agave plantations, including the Tepecoste hill among its lands. The only hill in Tequila, Jalisco, where, due to its extraordinary geographical and natural characteristics, the best agaves are planted, selected by the Orendain family to produce a multi-award-winning Gran Orendain Tequila.

Several tour operators have named “La Mexicana” one of the most traditional distilleries in Tequila Jalisco. Since 2014 when it opened its doors to tourist visits, the "La Mexicana" factory has received more than 500,000 visitors, making it the most visited distillery in Mexico.

The visit included:

• Guided tour to “La Mexicana” distillery of Tequila Orendain.
• Degustation of cooked agave and freshly distilled tequila (55º). 
• Degustation of Casa Orendain tequilas. 
• Free time to visit the shops.
