Food Security: Recycling Consumer-generated Food Waste

Abstract

A large amount of food leftovers from restaurants, hotels, social functions and even homes end up in the trash can. This forms a sizeable percentage of what should be properly retrieved, stored up and re-used somewhere down in the food chain. Our key methodology would involve educating various social groups, religious organisations, corporate bodies and government institutions on the need for a cultural shift. This adjustment could result in major saves for whole communities.
