Abstract
Examining the intricate interplay between populism and environmental concerns, this study seeks to untangle the complex dynamics at the heart of this intersection. By adopting a critical lens that surpasses superficial discourse, the research navigates the juncture where populist movements intersect with ecological considerations, influencing the discourse and policymaking landscape surrounding environmental issues. This paper adds nuance to academic conversations by presenting a detailed exploration of how populist ideologies shape grassroots involvement, environmental advocacy, and public perceptions. Through an in-depth analysis of contemporary case studies, historical contexts, and theoretical frameworks, this investigation illuminates the dualistic nature inherent in populist approaches. It delves into their potential as drivers of positive change while simultaneously posing challenges to effective environmental governance. The findings contribute valuable insights to ongoing discussions about the intricate relationship between populism and environmentalism, offering a nuanced understanding of the opportunities and obstacles associated with populist strategies in addressing urgent ecological challenges.
