Inclusive Excellence Practices for a Positive Climate Change

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to present on the intrinsic and extrinsic factors stakeholders of our university have developed to promote a positive and tangible social change in our campus. This includes innovative ways to create micro communities in our university where our members can strengthen solidarity bonds and thus foster an atmosphere of ethics, care, and equity. We have implemented specific programs, curriculums, workshops, and structural and organizational changes that seek to remove barriers for faculty and staff in their academic career. Our team presents the steps we have taken to promote cultural competence in our campus and our community to enhance the livability of our institution and our society. We outline some of the initiatives, our challenges, management, our successes and our general findings and insights regarding the enhancement of our community and university cultural awareness.
