From Change Chaos to Resilience: A Dynamic Framework to Navigate the Chaos of Change

Abstract

Change is not simple. It is complex and often deemed chaotic. In this presentation, we show the latest evidence-based research on ways to navigate the chaos of change using a dynamic framework called the 6E Change Facilitation Framework. The 6E Change Facilitation Framework combines principles to navigate both project implementation and change adoption with humans at the centre. The Framework highlights six principles to be navigated according to the evolving change needs of the organisation, therefore building their change capabilities and hence their resilience. Within the 6E Change Facilitation Framework, there are Implementation Principles that include; Explore Change Factors, Evaluate Change Measures, and Establish Change Strategies. There are Adoption Principles that include; Engage Stakeholders during Change, Empower Stakeholders to plan for change, and Equip Stakeholders with Change Capabilities. The Framework has been applied in research and in practice for local and global transformations and has yielded positive results in embedding successful transformation and building organisational resilience.
