Does Staff Member’ Nationality Matter? : A Comparative Study of Administrative Resource and Innovations in Canadian and Russian Enterprises Based in China

Abstract

This research reflects the perspectives of Canadian, Russian and Chinese organizational structure on innovations in manufacturing enterprises based in China. It examines the influence of the business culture of the staff (nationality in particular) on organization innovations; and it compares Canadian and Chinese approaches to innovation in China-based manufacturing enterprises. The results show significant differences in how Canadian and Chinese staff influences Canadian China-based enterprises. The results of the study will provide guidance to international enterprises in selecting organizational structure, in order to find better solutions to current innovation challenges in their organization.
