Is There a Relationship between Teachers' Communication with Students' Parents and Students: Engagement in the Class

Abstract

The study examines whether students level of engagement in the classroom were impacted when teachers contacted their parents. The result show that there was a positive relationship between teachers communicating with parents and students’ engagement in the class. In the study two classes were considered as a control group and another two classes as a treatment. Teachers contacted their students in the treatment everyday; students in the control group were not contacted. The research period spanned three months.
