Abstract
Intercultural learning in blended and online university systems during COVID-19 underwent unexpected evolution. This work interprets the phenomena following the experimentation with online teaching (March 2020 – July 2021) and traces the benefits and risks of hybrid intercultural education. Therefore, it is necessary to re-read tools and methodologies consequential to the observations in these didactic experiments. Pedagogical and educational models are the theoretical fields of this paper. The data collection methodology is linked to the comparison of good university practices in the field of blended/online intercultural learning through a literature review. The analysis of the good practices documented in the literature provides us an outline of the active teaching models in international universities (results) and an innovative proposal from the University of Foggia, strengthened by this analysis, to be used for blended intercultural learning post-COVID as well.
