Abstract
The tourism industry around the world is recognized as a critical driver for economic growth. However, with unsustainable management it can turn into over-tourism, eventually transforming or completely altering the core dialectics of Community Place Relationship for the locals. Pushkar located near Ajmer, with a population of 21685 residents, welcomes around 40,0000 pilgrims and tourists annually. This paper is an attempt to enhance the quality of life for the locals by offering a spatial inquiry of their lived experience.
