Abstract
With the sustained growth of ecotourism in Colombia, it is a great challenge to establish environmentally sustainable practices that involve the conservation of the biological diversity of the country’s protected areas, balancing economic growth in the sector. With this purpose, it is pertinent to take as a reference the model implemented in Brazil, which for several decades has been one of the main cases worldwide in taking advantage of the economic benefits of tourist activities, promoting the least impact on natural spaces. We consider the adoption of strategies, which have required the articulation of public and private entities for the creation of projects that reduce the absence of ecotourism training, certification, licensing and promotion tools.
