"Bouncing Back: Insights on Peer-to-Peer Accommodation in the Post-COVID19 Era"

Dr. Anna Farmaki is assistant professor in tourism management in the Department of Hotel and Tourism Management at the Cyprus University of Technology. Her primary research interests lie in the areas of tourism planning and development and tourist behaviour. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods in her research, she completed work on an array of topics such as travel motivation, sustainable tourism development, and tourism governance, among others. Dr. Farmaki has a rich publication record, having published (both as a sole author and a co-author) in several high-ranked peer-reviewed academic journals including Tourism Management, Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Sustainable Tourism, International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, and Current Issues in Tourism. She is the author of a book titled Tourism and Society, published by Ion Publishing (in Greek), and a co-editor of the following upcoming books: Peer-to-peer Accommodation and Community Resilience (CABI), Planning and Managing Sustainability in Tourism (Springer), and Emerging Transformations in Tourism and Hospitality (Routledge). Dr. Farmaki is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and a management committee member in European Union COST Actions. She has also been successful in attracting external funding from European programmes (e.g. Erasmus +).
