Abstract

India is the world’s sixth-largest economy by nominal gross domestic products and the third-largest by purchasing power parity (WEO, 2018). India is ranked amongst the top 10 business travel markets and business travel spending is expected to increase until 2030 from $30 billion in 2015 (KPMG & FCM, 2018). The country is now a USD 30 billion business travel market and is expected to more than triple to USD 93 billion by 2030. The combining of business travel with leisure is termed as ‘bleisure’ travel. The bleisure travel is an outcome of the recent growth of multinational corporations and their expansion across the countries. Business executives have been undertaking travel to a palace primarily for business purpose and extent their stay for leisure too. The business organisations are increasingly arranging trips where professionals mix leisure with business. It has the potential to bring ample revenue to the travel and tourism industry. The bleisure travel has become a blistering trend that is reshaping the business travel. This paper is intended to study and present the profile and motives of the bleisure travelers and also different services incorporated in the bleisure travel packages.
