Environmental and Behavioral Patterns for Sustainable Ecotourism: A Case Study of Kandovan

Abstract

There are three interaction patterns between three ingredients of ecotourism: ecotourist, the environment, and local society. Every option in the triangular diagram is connected to each other. In this regard each element must notice four principles of ecotourism (ecotourism satisfaction, environmental conservation, economic benefits, and conservation of local culture). To sum up we have three diagrams that show this relationship and also practical solutions to sustain ecotourism. This study was implemented with questionnaires, library sources (such as photos, maps, graphs, and so on), and in-person investigation. As a result, this paper makes clear that in real ecotourism situations there are some cons and pros connected to ecotourists, as well as some to local society and lack of a healthy environment.
