Older Adults’ Experience of Using Information and Communication Technologies after COVID-19: A Cross-sectional Study

Abstract

There is a growing use of information communication technology among older adults. Mostly, older adults use information communication technology to communicate with their loved ones, in getting assistance with daily activities, and entertainment among others. However, the proportion of older adults who use information and communication technology in Italy is lower in comparison to youths. Numerous studies have been conducted to find the barriers to using information communication technology among older adults. However, there are a few studies which focus on the older adults’ experience of using information and communication technology. Most of the literature is concentrated either in the USA or in other European nations. To improve the user experience, in this study, we use a cross-sectional study by collecting data from various older adults aged above 65 Years in Italy. Semi-structured questionnaires are used to glean information from the older adults, suitable regression analysis is used to analyze data using appropriate software.
