Intergeneration Learning: A Web-based Online Education Course on Understanding Aging

Abstract

An online course was developed to help secondary school students to understand more about the ageing process, covering physical, psychological and social aspects. Two thousand and six secondary students in Hong Kong have completed the course. Evaluation comparing the scores before and after the course suggest that there is improvement in well-being and also attitudes working with older adults. The project three-year project (2008 to 2021) was funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.
