Paola Riolo

Paola Riolo (PhD, Full Professor of General and Applied Entomology at the Department of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences-Polytechnic University of Marche) is a professor of ‘Agricultural and Forest Entomology and Zoology’ and ‘Integrated Pest management of stored products’ courses. Since 2021 she has been Coordinator of the Bachelor Degree Course in 'Agricultural Science and Technology' and of the Master's Degree Course in 'Land and Agricultural Sciences' which hosts the 'Social Agriculture' training path. 

At present she is involved in the project SILVER AGRI AGE-Longevity, intrinsic capacity and cognitive impairment into farmlands and natural environments: updating contexts following the “Montessori” action” and in the PNRR VITALITY project-"Innovative models for socio-economic sustainability of rural areas". Moreover, she is involving in the experiment “Social-working inclusion initiatives for subjects affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)” promoted by the Marche Region.

 

Carla Moretti

Associate Professor of General Sociology at the Department of Economic and Social Sciences - Polytechnic University of Marche. She teaches Planning and evaluation of social systems and Well-being and development in Social Farming. Member of the Council of the Research Centre on Integration in Social and Health Services and of the Research Centre and Service for Innovations and Methodologies Applied to the Third Sector - Polytechnic University of Marche. She is the scientific director of the “Social-working inclusion initiatives for subjects affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) project, promoted by the Marche Region, and collaborates on the Silver Agri Age project.

TOPIC: They will present the aims of social farming, illustrating the opportunities in the social and health services system and the training contents of the course of studies at the Polytechnic University of Marche.

 

Cristina Gagliardi 

Senior researcher in the field of gerontology at IRCCS INRCA. Since 2010 has been in charge of the Laboratory for the study of Longevity and relations with the Third Sector. Since 2014 has been involved in Social Agriculture for the promotion of active longevity. She has been the coordinator for INRCA of the experimental project “Active Longevity in rural areas”, an INRCA-Marche Region collaboration, of the Marche Social Agriculture project and currently, she is working on the Silver Agri Age project.

TOPIC: She will talk about interventions in social agriculture in favor of the elderly population, illustrating the numerous benefits that on-farm activities can bring to the well-being of the participants.

 

Roberto Luciani

Roberto Luciani, Marche Region, Agri-food Policies Department - Rural Development and Multifunctionality Manager.

TOPIC: He will address funding opportunities and regional policies aimed at developing social farming in the Marche Region. 

 

Maria Letizia Gardoni

Maria Letizia Gardoni, 34 years old from the Marches, is the President of Coldiretti Marche and a member of the organization’s national council since 2018. In Osimo (AN), the city in which she was born and where she obtained her classical high school diploma before graduating from the Faculty of Agriculture of the Marche Polytechnic University, is the owner of an agricultural enterprise that produces organic fruit and vegetables. In the past, she held the role of National Delegate of Coldiretti Giovani Impresa (2014-2018) and since 2022 she has been the national president of Coldiretti Bio, the association of organic farmers linked to Coldiretti.

TOPIC: She will talk about the first national network of social farms of Coldiretti Campagna Amica born to integrate the system of public services, particularly the projects in the Marche Region.
