Aging in Place: Creating Social Ventures that Address the Needs of the Elderly Population

Abstract

This paper explores the creation of a social venture that will address the challenge of making aging in place easier, safer, and more economical. The U.S. elderly population continues to expand and as the baby boomer generation enters their senior years, it is important to address potential social problems associated with their aging needs. Furthermore, older adults may require assistance related to particular disabilities which affect the individuals who are disabled, their families, and society more broadly. Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought to light that these are unprecedented times and it is essential that we must plan ahead. Aging is inevitable and this topic reflects my passion around human growth and development.
