Moritz Hess is a Professor of Gerontology at the University of Applied Sciences Niederrhein. Prior he was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Bremen at the SOCIUM Research Center on Inequality and Social Policy. From 2016 to 2018. Moritz was the the head of the research unit “Work, Economy and Technology” at the Institute of Gerontology at Technical University of Dortmund. From 2012 to 2016 he was a PhD student at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences (GESS) at the University of Mannheim. Moritz studied Gerontology in Amsterdam as well as Sociology in Mannheim and Berlin, where he was also employed as a student assistant at the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB) and the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW).
